Erik Stafford on the experts panel, JVAlert Philadelphia, 2008
(That’s me! Second from the left, front row)

It was a great thrill for me to join the “Experts Panel” at JVAlert Philadelphia, 2008. I sat on the panel during Sunday’s Hot Seat and also the closing discussion.

I shared the stage with Willie Crawford, Mike Morgan, Alan Bechtold, Warren Whitlock, Stuart Tan, Kevin Nations, Simon Leung, Frank Sousa, Elsom Eldridge, and Brian Edmondson. There may have been a few others between the two panels. Anyways, I shared my thoughts on more than one occasion, and it felt great:)

It’s nice to be recognized by my peers after one short year in this business… it’s been an amazing year and I can’t wait to see what the rest of 2008 brings!

To your success,

Erik

Feedback II: What do you want to see in The Faster Webmaster II?

Part II of “Voice Your Opinion”. I asked The Faster Webmasters (and also my subscribers) what they wanted to see in The Faster Webmaster II. Here are the answers:

Auto Responders, Automated systems. Use of getting your Website to the top of search engines Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc. etc. How to bid and win with Pay Per Click. A complete marketing system for promoting products, ebooks or services from the start to receiving payment.

I have so much to learn. Anything you come up with will surely be important. You seem to come up with all the stuff we need to know and don’t even know to ask.

I’m stuck on integrating my shopping cart and Pay Pal on my site.

Where to get affiliate products to sell. It seems like all the products I get are internet marketers trying to get me to sell their products on how to internet market. I am not interested in how to sell products to other internet marketers I want to know how I can better sell products I am interested in to people on the internmet.

How to build a list. How to hook a merchant account to this, How to hook joint ventures to this, How to generate more traffic. How to protect the website from thieves, pictures etc…

Social Marketing

If ever I put it all together, you are the only one I’d would consider developing such a course with because you are the only one in the business so far that I’ve met through emails who does not hide behind the email system and staff members.

How do I duplicate an email in AWeber without having to recreate it over and over again.

To your success,

Feedback III: What Would Best Help You Achieve Your Goals?

Posted on June 23, 2007

I do not have a very large budget to do all the necessary marketing that I would like to do. I am at this time using adwords and yahoo advertising on a very small budget. I would like to know of other types of advertising that would be of help, but not cost an arm and a leg at this time.

The right way of getting traffic to your affiliate website to make some money!

By giving guidance step by step…

I can achieve my goals sooner I feel if the information is in it simplest form. If you’re sure that the basics are known.

Instruct me on how to set up my website?

I am on dial up and until I get a website that i feel like it is legitimate and secure and of the better business bureau and then I probably want ever start nothing that I am not sure of. I have to make some money to spend some money. That is where I stand as of now. With the dial up I can’t get the videos to come up and play.

Be patient with beginners.

You can give me more audio coaching.

I am going crazy with info overload! Would really like to just delete all the garbage, but realy don’t understand the difference between garbage and important at this point.

Any advice you can give RE: Internet Marketing-how to get customers - keeping customers interested while still working on getting new ones will be appreciated . It would be good to receive tips on keeping a home business on an even keel. Thank you.

You’re doing a good job. The free information and mentoring are terrific. I also appreciate that you are not constantly trying to push products, yours or anyone elses. You are one of a very small number of professionals who actually help others without the constant bombardment of buy this, buy, buy. Offering your knowledge for free is truly a service to newbies like myself. God bless and reward you for efforts at giving back. Operable word: giving!

Your letters have given me a great opportunity to learn about profits online and make my goals a reality, just keep up with those great emails.

I know how to build a Web site, but I need information on uploading Camtasia, Sony Sound Forge, and Sony Vegas movie files to Web site.

As far as sending emails, some people just send them way, way too much. Information can come at ya so fast that you can’t keep up and then you fall behind. If it is something that I do full time, it would be one thing, but when I am trying to get things going part time, it is overload. This probably does not help you any, but it is the case. I want solid, step by step information that I can do in maybe a half hour in the evening when my brain is already exhausted from the day. In otherwords, very spelled out, nothing to guess, the video step by step sounds good. I want to put up a website for my ebook that looks very nice, very professional without having to spend gobs of money that I am not even earning yet with the book. But, with all the time it takes to keep my blog going, and creating book and workbook, etc., I have put off “forever” doing a website because of cost and or the time it will take me to figure out how to make it. So, if you can address this issue for me, it would be great!

Where do you find good Ezines to advertise in ? Where are good Opt in lists to use to get started? How to Build my own opt in list Auto responders usage and the drip system. It takes 7 to 10 contacts to make a sale. Writting those follow up e-mails is a problem. Who has the best Auto Responders service?

Gee, let’s see. Well, you could make me a gift of an amount in excess of 3.6 million dollars. Yep, that would help me achieve many of my goals!

I need to be led by the hand and spoon fed. I hate saying that but it’s a reality. Learning from one of the marketing gurus of today is like trying to learn basic math from Einstein. They don’t know how much they know that I don’t know so they skip lots of things. And I HATE it when the promo says it’s going to be simple and it’s NOT. I get into the meat and potatoes of one of these programs and it turns into a monster. Go here, go there, do this, do that, click on this, click on that. Spin away for a minute and look at this. You need to upgrade to this and then buy this in addition. What a pile of crap!! Whatever happened to going from a to b to c, etc in a straight line?

To your success,

Erik Stafford

How to write jaw-dropping, eye-popping copy…

Posted on June 5, 2007

Erik Stafford here. Many of you have emailed me asking if The Faster Webmaster will teach writing skills: how to say what you need to say to get people interested in joining your list or buying your products.

The answer is, unfortunately, NO.

The goal of The Faster Webmaster is to cover the “technical” basics of getting a simple website online, for people with little experience. Now the good news:

I did some research on Copywriting for you, and I found an excellent and amazingly affordable product that will show you how to write content for your pages that will suck people into your message… and keep them there.

Here is the information you need:

The “High Response Sales Letters” Copywriting Course
http://www.thefasterwebmaster.com/copywriting
====================================================
This amazing report will show you how to write high response sales letters in just 25 minutes… even if you’ve never written one before. The best thing about this course: it’s packed with means and methods to touch your readers… not in a cheap or cheesy (or unethical) way, but through the use of several triggers that you can use to create a strong bond with your audience.

I urge those of you who are serious about internet marketing to pick up this document and make it part of your “go to” library or resources.

It’s only $7 bucks… which is less than you will probably spend on lunch today. Basically, it will cost you less than a tank of gas… and will last you much, much longer!

To your success,

Erik Stafford
