My First Podcast!

Erik Stafford here. I posted a couple days ago about “Podcasting Unleashed” by Scott Paton. Scott was one of the speakers at my very first “Internet Marketing Seminar”, and he blew me away.

I came home from JV Alert in Philadelphia determined to start my very own podcast.

I knew nothing about audio editing, or iTunes, or podcasts… but I was determined to do it.

So I did it. And guess what? It was totally easy!

2007’s Biggest Internet Marketing Secret

Erik Stafford here. People always ask me what the biggest stumbling block is when it comes to online success. My answer is always the same:

Distraction.

Here is a great example: A few months ago I went to JV Alert in Philadelphia. It was my first Internet Marketing Seminar.

Before I went I asked a very successful friend what advice he had for me.

He said “Erik, watch all the speakers, and meet as many people as possible, and take furious notes… but after the event is over put everything in a drawer for later except for the three most valuable ideas or technologies. Focus on those items only, so you don’t get overwhelmed.”

Great advice! So that’s just what I did. I took the best three ideas, and made them my own.

One of these ideas was Google and YouTube Videos to drive traffic to my products, and you can see by the blog entries below that I took that to heart.

Here is the second big idea I came away from Philadelphia with, and it’s already affected my business in a big, big way:
